"We want children to have not only the knowledge but the wisdom to succeed in life."
Building character
MPEF sponsors the James A. Weeldreyer Endowment for Building Positive Interpersonal Relationships. This endowment was established upon the retirement of long-time Superintendent James A. Weeldreyer and his personal commitment to our school philosophy: "We believe every child has the right to be connected. We believe every child has the right to intellect."
Throughout his 30-year tenure Mr. Weeldreyer maintained a district focus on the importance of interpersonal relationships in our schools. The endowment is intended to provide learning experiences that help students build character and foster positive connections and relationships within the school, community, and today's global world.
This endowment fund will be used for educational programs that benefit students at all grade levels. These programs will be determined annually and coordinated by each building principal.
The fund continues to grow as contributions are received. We invite you to help us grow the endowment in Mr. Weeldreyer's honor by making a contribution.
