Staff Development Grant
During the 2011-12 school year the Foundation received an anonymous donation designated for staff professional development. We are pleased and grateful that the donors continue to support teachers, administrators, and staff members who desire to further their professional growth. As a result of this generous donor support, MPEF is able to award grants of up to $300 for each application approved.
An effort will be made to balance the distribution of these grants among the four buildings. Grant requests will be processed in the order that they are received. An online application for each grant must be completed. The activity applied for must be consistent with building and district school improvement plans.
The grant application is subject to the approval of the building principal. In order to expedite the processing of requests, applicants are advised to seek building principal approval prior to completing an application form. Payment or reimbursement for expenses will be processed through the Central Office of Mattawan Consolidated School.
As of 2019 principals may also apply for this grant to support the enhancement of the staff employment experience for the purpose of attracting and retaining effective professional educators.
